I couldn’t find any setting that would disable the speakers if headphones are plugged in. If I click on the speaker icon to mute it and then unmute it, then the sound only comes out of the headphones as intended. In terms of performance, this is clearly a budget laptop. I have this problem, but here is a temp fix, I just unplug and replug the headphones while the audio is still on, it seems to do the trick for me. The keys are individually mounted and are solid to the touch. That is an unacceptable “workaround”. Actual figures may vary in real-world situations.

To fix it I have sounx unplug the headset and replug them back in again.

Asis may be a budget laptop, but we were impressed with the build quality on offer. Pluged in headphones, sound only thru headphones.
Put laptop to sleep Woke it up started song again and sound only thru headphones. Play song can hear thru all speakers. I am also experiencing this. Hope this may help some of you! But why is this driver available from this random french website when it doesn’t exist on asu manufacturer’s website?

That disables the subwoofer though, right? Please check with your supplier for exact offers. It seems to happen intermittently.

However, the screen looked great when running our sample DVD tests. The compromises are in its processing power and battery life, but if your needs are basic, you’ll be impressed with the build quality and array of features on offer. This restricts the audio signal from going to aasus subwoofer period, fixing the problem.
