The bug is VERY configuration dependant. To check for this, boot on the startup floppy. Thanks, I posterd my comment.
The pc works with another video card. The aperture needs to be at least as large as the RAM on the video card. The aperature is just how much system RAM the video card has access to. Make sure to remove the old video card from device manager giabyte shutting down to physically swap the hardware.

I always try that when there’s an obvious problem but an elusive solution. The bios is set to agp initial display. You can have problems if the video card has more RAM than the System. The system has ram. The light on the monitor ggabyte orange and I cannot boot into safe mode. How much RAM do you have?
Track this discussion and email me when there are updates. If you get the display from th3e startup floppy, it is nottolerance. The card works in another pc so it is good. Windows can get confused when it attempts to load drivers for non-existing hardware.
Make sure that the settings match ATIs recommendations. Thank You, I did all of this and checked bios. Thanks for your question. I have set res and color to minimum no results.

This sounds like it may be a tolerance buildup problem. I have installed the lastest Hyperion 4 in 1 update from VIA and looked for the bios flash but could not find it. The aperature can be any size.
Did you clear CMOS on the computer? With low RAM run a small aperature. The tolerance errors in the MB, Case and Card are so that one pin is not connected.
