I use this for my little home project, nothing big. It connected to my laptop running windows 10 and loaded the drivers on its own. With some fiddling and some acoustic foam I was able to get an amazing sound eventually out of the XLR inputs as well. Solid clean digital audio in small portable and inexpensive package I plugged my budget knockoff guitar into the left channel and my budget condenser into the 2nd channel XLR input.

I tried using and installing the software to see if it was worth trying but it’s all just demo junk This is the second M-Audio box that we own, which allows for even more dexterity. It has phantom power, which is great! I did not have to use the cd it came with and its running great. Drivers for Avid Audio Hardware. No Wall Wart transformer needed! Channel 1, with the guitar plugged in direct however, had crystal clear audio with no crosstalk and a much fuller tone than the soundcard in my aging computer.

The unit is entirely USB powered and zero-latency direct monitoring provides a streamlined professional recording experience. I was looking for an inexpensive solution to connect my studio mics to my computer so Pro Tools would have a dedicated track for each.

The included Ableton live lite software is a bit overkill and I downloaded the freeware Audacity instead.
