He doesn’t want to do an “add-in” card, besides he’s got two front  2 front usb ports, 1 media card reader that’s usb usb devices and while looking at ‘internal’ usb ports on add-in cards that was the least available option on add-in cards. I believe your battery needs replacing. Try un-installing all the USB controllers that you find in Device Manager and reboot the system to let Windows auto find again.
